Alyssa Levine is ubiquitous in the Charlotte community: from Justice Initiatives to the Charlotte Women’s Bar, to the Jewish Community Center. If it’s Charlotte, it’s Alyssa. Since returning to Charlotte after working in the Bay Area and Boston, Alyssa devotes her life to families in search of a new way.
Alyssa’s commitment to Charlotte and its community is in a new season of its life as she is running for Mecklenburg County District Court Judge. For someone who has her own firm and has grown a successful practice, the question is why? On the internet, you’ll see that passion, fairness, equity, dignity, and empathy are huge motivators for her. She wants to bring all that (and more) to the bench.
But how does fairness, equity, dignity, and empathy show up in her daily life? When did she begin to cultivate those values? And where do they show up best in her daily life? We’re in search of those peak Alyssa moments.
