The Human Lawyer

The Human Lawyer Podcast: Ann Thayer

June 28, 2022

Ann Thayer is there and here as a guest on this podcast. She’s the co-host of the podcast Crime Time, where she pontificates about legal issues attendant to the criminal justice system with a group of friends. Listen to her podcast, and you’ll hear her disclaimer, a portion of which says: “If you were bleeding profusely, you wouldn’t listen to a podcast in hopes of a bandage somehow materializing over the internet and onto your 3D printer.  Seeking actual legal advice can be just as important as a tourniquet.” Her latest riffs are on Johnny Depp’s trial and Deppamation. So if you’re into that, or him, give the pod a listen.

Since 2004, Ann has dedicated her life to criminal defense, whether it’s those who cannot afford a lawyer, juveniles, or abused partners. She brings relentless compassion to the courtroom and the negotiating table. The venue doesn’t matter. Remember, Ann is there.

In life, Ann bleeds black and yellow and believes the Ravens suck. If anything, they’re disloyal. Just ask Cleveland. Her fanaticism for sports, and her teams, finds a close parallel to the criminal justice system for as she would say, someone wins and someone loses. And while the losses may crush you, they teach you. And those learnings fuel you.
