The Human Lawyer

The Human Lawyer Podcast: Annemarie Pantazis

March 8, 2022

The daughter of an HVAC technician and a legal secretary, Annemarie Pantazis knows the value of, and believes in, good old-fashioned hard work. Just ask her about the time she volunteered herself to serve as GC of a commercial real estate development project. Annemarie is simply not afraid to roll up her sleeves.

She’s also not afraid to pick a lane and drive fast. So fast, that last year, she was inducted as a Fellow in the College of Workers’ Compensation Lawyers. She also knows that there’s more to being a lawyer than “well, being a lawyer.” She values relationships and people. She also values stories of redemption, believing deeply that lawyers have a role to play in redeeming others.

Finally, Annemarie fails forward. She worries not about what went wrong, but how she can incorporate failures into her life as building blocks for success. A businesswoman, a lawyer, a human, welcome to the human lawyer podcast, Annemarie.

Amplifying human stories to explore how those stories inform people’s work as lawyers. Our mission: to expand the margin we have for other lawyers by focusing on that which makes us human to identify how the “human stuff” leads lawyers to a fulfilled career, whether in the law or something else.

the human lawyer is a 501(c)(3) north carolina non-profit corporation. it is not a law firm. it will never be a law firm. it does not offer legal services. it never will. the lawyers featured are completely independent and unaffiliated. they always will be. we focus exclusively on human storytelling through a variety of different mediums. if you are compelled to support: first, thank you; and second, all contributions are tax-deductible in furtherance of our charitable purpose.
