What does teaching yoga and practicing law have in common? If anyone knows, it would be Colleen Byers because she does both—a certified yoga teach and a partner at Bell Davis and Pitt in Winston-Salem.
But what was it that led to becoming certified to teach yoga? What kind of time commitment did that entail? Has anything changed for since becoming certified? If so, what?
And there there’s collaborative law. For the past two years, she’s dedicated a significant portion of her professional life to help collaborative law gain traction in the general civil litigation context. And let’s just say from someone who has sat in on the periphery of that conversation, that is no small task. And it can be a thankless effort. But I suspect a lot has been learned along the way. Only one way to find out, though.
