It seems, the best way to get to know George Sistrunk on the internet is to explore the depths of his experience as a member of Concussion Protocol—a formidable and perhaps feared opponent in the Mecklenburg County Bar Lawyers’ Basketball league. Perhaps it was on that team when George longed for his own watering hole for post-game victory celebrations.
Or maybe he just leveraged his experience as a real estate litigator and transactional attorney to recognize the opportunity of an adaptive reuse project in Charlotte’s historic Wesley Heights.
All this is to say: George is most known, at this present moment, for his work as a founder of Town Brewing—Charlotte’s first brewery on the West Side. He’s about to welcome a few brewery neighbors, folks like Traust and Legion Brewing. But, here’s to being a first-mover. Seeing and acting on an opportunity before others did.
A lot has changed in George’s time as a lawyer—from practicing at one of the largest international law firms in the world to being the managing partner at one of Charlotte’s most recognizable full-service boutique firms.
George is in for all the things, which fortunately includes being a guest on the Human Lawyer podcast.
