The Human Lawyer

Human Lawyer Podcast: Heather McCullough

December 3, 2019

Most of what we know about lawyers, is what we see on TV. But there is a lot more to them than that — which, of course, is the theme of The Human Lawyer Podcast. But who makes the “culture” of a law firm “human” and approachable? Who makes you want to choose one lawyer over another, and one firm over another when you need a lawyer? That task goes to someone who knows how to translate an attorney’s or a firm’s strength into a message that makes people understand what they do, and how well they can do it for you. That’s — the legal marketing pro.

Heather McCullough of Studio 54 is that pro. She calls herself “two parts wit and one part tenacity,” and brings her creativity and intellect to work as a game-changer for professional services firms across the country. Her background includes overseeing all aspects of firm branding and business development for one of the most well-respected law firms in the country. That includes communications, client relations, and events — meaning she is the person who takes care of those things so lawyers can stay focused on lawyering. Welcome to The Human Lawyer Podcast, Heather.

Amplifying human stories to explore how those stories inform people’s work as lawyers. Our mission: to expand the margin we have for other lawyers by focusing on that which makes us human to identify how the “human stuff” leads lawyers to a fulfilled career, whether in the law or something else.

the human lawyer is a 501(c)(3) north carolina non-profit corporation. it is not a law firm. it will never be a law firm. it does not offer legal services. it never will. the lawyers featured are completely independent and unaffiliated. they always will be. we focus exclusively on human storytelling through a variety of different mediums. if you are compelled to support: first, thank you; and second, all contributions are tax-deductible in furtherance of our charitable purpose.
