On October 23, 2019, from 8:30 am to 9:30 am, Society 54 and CoLaw will collaborate on a three-part series focused on helping lawyers develop authentic business relationships. The three-part series is titled: “The Human Lawyer Experience.” The series will run from October through February.
The first installment will focus on building a thoughtful business development foundation from the ground up. Morgan Lewis and Shannon Blackwell will share actionable strategies and tips for building that foundation, and how the foundation impacts the viability and sustainability of your business development plan.
The second installment will focus on developing blueprints for the business development process AND using those blueprints as an objective measure to evaluate progress. Because . . . GOALS. No two lawyers are the same, so it makes sense that every lawyer’s blueprint is, and will be, different. Different is OK.
The third installment will focus on client service and the customer experience. Lawyers are a high-touch profession, dealing with a client’s most intimate concerns, whether those concerns are professional or personal. The stakes, in a client’s eyes, are always high. A client’s emotional volatility (which is normal) should be surpassed only by the normalcy, uniformity, and empathy of the customer experience. How to do that? Society 54 has a few tips to share. Come check out this final installment in February.
There are two rules for attendance. Here they are:
You must be a human, then a lawyer . . . in that order.
You must come to be you and have fun.
Finally, you are free to come to one, two, or all three of the installments. You must sign up for each event separately. A link to the sign up for the second and third installments will be shared after the first installation. Our hope is that you identify an actionable plan with objective measures of success.
Between now and October 23, we’ll work on having ample amounts of coffee and pastries. Stay tuned.
