Nick Fogle is a story about higher education, student loans, switching careers, and paying off a quarter million dollars in debt. Hello, adulting. Today, you’ll find Nick as the founder and CEO of Churnkey: an integration with a SaaS company’s billing provider to save SaaS companies immediately. In short, Nick has a mousetrap helping reduce churn, an account manager and customer experience person’s dream.
Today’s episode will only touch the surface of Nick’ story. To learn more, check out www.nickfogle.com. His post undergrad life began at Walmart, unloading trucks and stocking frozen foods. He would wear a jacket so he could hide his nametag in case he saw a classmate. So, he did what most people do in this circumstance: went to law school. [Insert joke.]
As tough as it may have been to work at Walmart, 2012 and beyond were much tougher: saddled with debt and dire job prospects owed in part to the financial collapse of 2008/9. From working as a shuttle driver on Kiawah Island, to learning how to code; to landing an internship at reputable software company; to a litigious freelance experience; to a job; to paying off his debt; to founding and exiting 2 companies. Nick’s here, likely a place he never thought he’d be. Or did he?
