Human Lawyer Podcast: Shante Burke-Hayer

November 17, 2020

Shante Burke-Hayer proudly hails from Gates, North Carolina. Where? A small, rural town located in the northeast portion of North Carolina, on the border with Virginia. According to the 2010 census, Gates County had a population of 12,197. Here’s to the great rising of the 2020 census. We’re looking for big things from you, Gates.

Shante has been doing big things since she made Charlotte her home. She’s an avid supporter and member of The Leary Bar. Her professional work is family work: divorce; child custody; child support; and estate planning. Why did family become important to her? How does she prioritize her family? How has COVID-19 impacted her family? If she were queen, what would she change about her current situation? What’s she grateful for? When her clients face disruption and displacement, how does she bring them back to the human experience?

Those are some of the things we are interested in; but first, Gates.
