The Human LawyerS: Blood Drive

May 17, 2019

On May 31, 2019 (it’s a Friday), CoLaw is partnering with Hygge in a blood drive for the benefit of Kristi Martin, specifically, and more generally, for the benefit of everyone who suffers from blood disorders where the donating of blood could help save their life.

The call is simple: if you’re a lawyer or anyone really, and if you have a moment to donate your time (and blood), to help save a life, come to any of the Hygge locations between 8a and 2p. Here are the locations:

  • 1026 Jay Street (FreeMoreWest);

  • 809 Hill Street (Third Ward);

  • 330 Camp Rd. (Camp North End);

  • 2128 Remount Rd. (West CLT); OR

  • 1000 Music Factory Blvd. (Music Factory).

It gets better: if you donate, you’ll be entered in a raffle to win prizes from Heist Brewing, Sycamore Brewing, FEAST Food Tours & Culinary Events, Sea Level, Orman’s Cheese, Assorted Table, and more. Why? Because we all win together.

The ask is this: if you can come and would like to donate, please sign up because space is limited. It would be the WORST if you were not able to donate because of space limitations. You can sign up here.

That’s it. That easy.

So if you come, and want to check out CoLaw, we’re at Jay Street and 101 S. Tryon. We’d love to show you around.

Beyond that, we’re humans and we enjoy doing things that help other humans, like giving blood to help save the lives of folks like Kristi.

See you in two weeks.

Amplifying human stories to explore how those stories inform people’s work as lawyers. Our mission: to expand the margin we have for other lawyers by focusing on that which makes us human to identify how the “human stuff” leads lawyers to a fulfilled career, whether in the law or something else.

the human lawyer is a 501(c)(3) north carolina non-profit corporation. it is not a law firm. it will never be a law firm. it does not offer legal services. it never will. the lawyers featured are completely independent and unaffiliated. they always will be. we focus exclusively on human storytelling through a variety of different mediums. if you are compelled to support: first, thank you; and second, all contributions are tax-deductible in furtherance of our charitable purpose.
